THE SYMPTOMS OF YEAST INFECTION

Yeast infection is a common problem in women, where 75 per cent of these reported infections.



Women often suffer from itching and burning due to a yeast infection, and it causes many problems in them. Studies show 75 percent of women are likely to suffer from it at least once in their life. But those who have not experienced such a problem is to have knowledge about the infection and its symptoms.

Fungal infections occur in the vagina by a fungus called Candida Albicans. Normal vaginal includes bacteria and yeast cells. The vagina is acidic, so it does not allow the infection to pass. But due to the change in the balance sheet, often acidic nature of the vagina becomes less allowing it to grow rapidly and leads to infection. Common symptoms of these infections are irritation, itching, burning and swelling of the vagina along with abnormal vagina. Infected people may experience pain during urination due to inflammation of the urinary opening. Sexual intercourse also leads to pain due to dryness and swelling.

Symptoms usually occur one week before the start of menstrual cycle. Symptoms of STDs can vary from one person to another. Some may experience symptoms, others may have only one or two. This can make a terribly uncomfortable, but it is not so much a serious and fully cured. So it would be better to go for regular medical check-ups.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms, the medical consultation is required. Some of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), also show a similar type of symptoms, so proper diagnosis is vital. The doctor prescribes medication after going through medical history and test the vagina.
